Modesty aside, I rarely catch a cold. This week, however, was bad. I suspect that one of my students passed it to me. I’ve been feeling worn-out, my head feels like 10 times its weight, and I have all the typical cold symptoms: stuffed nose, sneezing, etc.
Stocked up on my Vitamin C and paracetamol tablets. I won’t see a doctor yet because Murphy’s Law dictates that once you see the doc and spend some money, your cold will mysteriously vanish in an instant. I’ll just rest, and continue to treat myself with the above pills, and some coffee.
That’s my past few days for you, condensed into two short paragraphs.
I was once given this sage advice by a friend in Canada:
“Go home, have a hot toddy and a hot body - and if you don’t feel better at least you’ll have fun.”
Let me know if it works.
I don’t know about the hot toddy (or the hot body) but I did have some white wine last night!
Feel better soon.
Thank you, Lisa. My stuffed nose is driving me bonkers.
